Have you ever wondered what makes timber such a versatile, durable and beautiful material? This course teaches the characteristics of wood, understanding of hand tools and the techniques for mastering their basic
use. Students will learn to work with and understand the medium, make and use appropriate joints, learn design principles and how to interpret basic setting out and drawing skills. There are 3 projects in the course designed
to develop the students understanding and skills.

This course runs over a 2 semester period.
Entry to this course is by interview. Maximum of 6 students.
